CENATDECA is a Non-Governmental and nonprofit organization that works for the social development and integration of underprivileged individuals, groups and communities in the Bamenda Municipality through humanitarian services. It promotes a society where vulnerable persons/groups are empowered economically. In our society the disadvantaged and marginalized persons like women, orphans, teenage single mothers, the elderly and persons with disability are suffering from poverty which is partly caused by their discrimination and marginalization in the society.
Empowerment according to CENATDECA is simply putting in place practical sustainable measures that will enable vulnerable and marginalized group of persons take action tochange the conditions of their lives while having knowledge and skills of a trade that will make them competitive in the particular productive field.

CENATDECA aims at improving the living conditions of the destitute so that they can be healthy and self-reliant. It is currently run by a committee. Depending on our resources we intend to extend in the future our services nationwide. The organization aims to empower the young mothers (13 -18-year-old) and the destitute through life skills training and non-formal education, including entrepreneurship training. CENATDECA also provides behavioural support and mentoring. In addition, CENATDECA advocates for teenage pregnancy prevention and assists in gender problems.
Our work aims to restore human dignity, break the vicious cycle of poverty and social isolation and to restore hope for a better future for the underprivileged of the society. We believe that every person has the right to access resources and opportunities in order to live and develop with dignity and to become an active and contributing member of our society.
CENOTDECA is an Association that postulates the possibility that everyone can live a good standard life, free from poverty and destitution. We will work for profoud change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to attain equality, dignity and freedom of all, regardless of their faith and Nationality. We are a movement for social justice, promotion of urgent, practical and effective assistance where there is great need, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.
