CENATDECA is a Non-Governmental and nonprofit organization that works for the social development and integration of underprivileged individuals, groups and communities in the Bamenda Municipality through humanitarian services. It promotes a society where vulnerable persons/groups are empowered economically. In our society the disadvantaged and marginalized persons like women, orphans, teenage single mothers, the elderly and persons with disability are suffering from poverty which is partly caused by their discrimination and marginalization in the society.
Empowerment according to CENATDECA is simply putting in place practical sustainable measures that will enable vulnerable and marginalized group of persons take action tochange the conditions of their lives while having knowledge and skills of a trade that will make them competitive in the particular productive field. The plan aims to create action groups of single mothers and all the destitute in the community. CENATDECA will facilitate group members to become aware of their environment and decide on a specific project that will help them to improve their conditions. READ MORE »
For rural communities, we intend to train people in simple skills for community development that will allow them to create self-groups in their own communities with the view to take action.
In this program we intend to work in collaboration with other institutions that will provide training to the poorest single mothers and all destitute.

We will provide individual and group counselling (where necessary) to teen mothers as well as teens and all destitute who are having problems.
We will provide home visits to the poorest in the community with in kind support such as food, clothes etc.A while counselling them and where necessary encouraging them to join self-health groups.
